I will always refer clients to other trusted licensed professionals when clients needs are out of my scope of practice.

What to Expect
Your First Appointment

The human body is made up of approximately 60–70% water, making hydration and fluid movement essential for overall health and healing. Massage therapy supports this natural balance by encouraging circulation, reducing tension, and helping the body release built-up stress and restriction.

Areas of tightness, scar tissue, or adhesions (often felt as “knots”) can develop over time due to injury, repetitive movement, or stress. Through skilled touch, heat, and targeted pressure, these areas can begin to soften and release, improving mobility and comfort.

Therapeutic touch also stimulates the nervous system, helping to restore sensation in areas that may feel restricted or disconnected, while calming areas that are overactive or tense. Each response is unique—clients may experience physical, emotional, or energetic shifts during or after treatment.

Hydration plays an important role in this process. Drinking water after a treatment helps support the body’s natural elimination pathways and can reduce post-treatment soreness or fatigue. As the body processes changes, responses may include increased urination, sweating, emotional release, or temporary fatigue—all normal signs that the body is adjusting.

When booking your first appointment, a health history form will be emailed and must be completed prior to your visit.

If you are unsure which treatment to book, there’s no need to worry—this will be discussed during your assessment. Upon arrival, an evaluation will determine whether your treatment will focus on rehabilitation, relaxation, or a combination of both.

Before your treatment begins, there will be a conversation around:

  • Your goals and concerns

  • Consent and comfort levels

  • Disrobing preferences

  • Pressure and techniques

  • A personalized treatment plan

Each session begins on a heated, comfortable, and supportive massage table. Treatments typically start with rhythmic mobilization of the body to encourage circulation, reduce joint tension, and prepare the muscles and fascia (connective tissue) for deeper work.

Coconut oil is applied using light, flowing strokes to warm the tissue, gradually working into deeper, more targeted techniques based on your needs.
